Abdullah Qureshi
…is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and educator. Rooted in traditions of abstraction, he incorporates gestural, poetic, and hybrid methodologies to address autobiography, trauma, and sexuality through painting, filmmaking, and immersive events.
Daniel Hopp
… stages social circumstances and successively orchestrates his protagonists in precisely edited video works. His artistic practice brings together professional actors, relatives, friends and himself in situational response to a predetermined exploration. Channelled through intense and oftentimes confrontational group dynamics, his performances bring to light the eternal conflict between individual desire and the need for social belonging.
Isadora Canela
…is a conceptual artist and filmmaker from Minas Gerais, Brazil, a region historically shaped by mining and colonial expansion. Through her multidisciplinary practice, Canela sheds light on the lived experiences of the land and the communities affected by climate change and industrial exploitation.
Patick Tagoe-Turkson
Patrick Tagoe-Turkson is a multidisciplinary artist with his studio based in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. He received a MFA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology in Kumasi, Ghana. Apart from his practice, Patrick teaches painting at Takoradi Technical University and is director of Aesthete Ghana which organizes nature art workshops and exhibitions.
Syowia Kyambi
Syowia Kyambi is a multimedia and interdisciplinary artist and curator whose work spans photography, video, drawing, sound, sculpture, and performance installation. She is of Kenyan and German descent, based between Nairobi and Nürnberg where she is a visiting professor at the AdBK.
